CHILDREN

We are delighted to welcome babes-in-arms and children over 5 years to our home. However we do need to offer a few words of caution concerning the property.  There are the ruins of an 18th century Paper Mill in the grounds which are decidedly unstable, so are strictly out of bounds to ALL guests.  Please ensure your children understand they are not to venture inside.  We can take no responsibility should someone be injured as a result of exploring the ruins.

Also, the River Sheppey boarders our land and whilst it is not deep, it is not fenced off (except barbed wire to keep the cows out!) so care should be taken.  And then there is the swimming pool. The pool courtyard is locked at all times except during the hours guests are permitted to use it.  However, when it is open, parents must supervise their children closely. No children under 16 are permitted to use the pool unless accompanied by an adult.

That said, the property is great for babies; we can provide a travel cot, high chairs, a small selection of toys, and babysitting is available on request. It is also possible to walk into Wells across the fields on a buggy-friendly paved footpath – it takes about 15 -20 mins, just enough time to lull the little one off to sleep……..!
